Concerning Nader’s comment “Talk about separation of church and state: It is not separated at all in Bush’s brain, and this is extremely disturbing.”
I refer Mr. Nader to our first President, George Washington:
“Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who would labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of man and citizens.” -Pres. George Washington, Farewell Address, 1796
It seems the “freedom fromreligion” crowd has forgotten what “freedom ofreligion” really means.
